Gas Transporter Gateway

The regulatory environment in which independent Gas Transporters (iGT) operate undergoes frequent industry change and sees pressure from Ofgem and energywatch to improve customer service. General industry issues such as data quality and customer billing accuracy means that iGTs are under frequent pressure to change their IT systems.

For an iGT operating in the UK an important requirement is the capability to interface with Shippers and other participants using industry standard, and custom, dataflows. With the advent of the new SPA IGT dataflows in early 2006 the opportunity arises to automate processes and deliver vastly improved business efficiency. There is also a need to maintain the existing Fax Enabled means of communication during the transition period.
