With the introduction of competitive Metering in July 2004, a further level of complication was introduced into the UK Gas marketplace. For Suppliers, the burden of Metering Asset Manager (MAM) appointment became reality, and the associated problems and issues were, and in many areas still are, highly troublesome. The Bridgeall GS Gateway-MA (Metering Administration) product has been developed to meet the challenges from the Review of Gas Metering Arrangements (RGMA) head on. With full automated support for the Rainbow RGMA formats for National Grid and iDN meter points, and the flexibility for individual file format definition of independent MAMs, the solution provides all of the features required to remove the burden from the process.
