Following our participation last year, another four hearty souls from Bridgeall will brave the cold by sleeping outside to raise funds for the Action for Children charity.
Byte Night is Action for Children’s biggest annual fundraiser. A national ‘sleep-out’ event, hundreds of people from the technology industry will give up their beds for one night to help change the lives of vulnerable young people.
Started in London in 1998, with 30 individuals raising £35,000, Byte Night has grown to cover 10 locations around the UK with over 1200 people participating in 2016. One of the UK’s top 17 mass participation charity events, and the largest charity sleep-out, Byte Night has now raised over £9.6 million since the first event in London.
This year Byte Night is taking place on Friday 6th October, including two locations in Scotland – Edinburgh and Glasgow.
The Bridgeall team will be sleeping in Blythswood Square Gardens, Glasgow.
In addition to the money raised by our four volunteers, Bridgeall will also be making a substantial donation.
The best of luck to Stuart Clarke, Jonathan McNair, Derek Buchanan and Brodie Shepherd (left to right).
