This month, we’re shining the spotlight on Nicole Miller, our talented Power Platform Consultant here at Bridgeall. From streamlining business processes to building innovative solutions with Microsoft’s suite of tools, Nicole’s expertise spans Power Platform, SharePoint, Azure, Dynamics, and beyond. In this article we learn more about her role, her approach to problem-solving, and how she helps our clients work smarter and faster.

Tell us more about your role and what it involves?
I am a Power Platform Consultant, which involves using a range of Microsoft tools to create a variety of solutions for clients. I mainly work with applications in Power Platform, however, I also use SharePoint, Azure, Dynamics and the other ‘Microsoft cousins’ to create specific products. This included things such as data preservation in multiple dynamic formats, automation for repetitive communication and status updates for production processes, Synapse links to real-time databases in SQL for streamlined data tracking, and training on these tools for companies looking to integrate them into their business. The range is quite varied, but all achieve faster and more robust systems for business processes.
How long have you been working at Bridgeall?
I have been with Bridgeall since May 2024.
What do you like most about your job?
I like how my day-to-day is never the same. I can see a project to the end and am involved hands-on and client-facing simultaneously. It’s a good mix between time to build and create while also keeping in touch with the people involved. I really like the balance; it’s like a routine without the deja vu.
What does a typical day for you look like?
Varied. They’ll usually be around three projects on the go, if I have no calls with clients or my team, I’ll split my day up depending on the priorities and workloads of each project or set aside a big part of the day to work through one to make a more significant impact. It’s quite good because I can alter my day as I go if anything changes.
What is your background?
I actually did a Medicinal Chemistry degree, I was fascinated with the ‘how’, ‘what’ and ‘why’ everything in the body worked; and how, when things went wrong, medicine can counteract or ‘bypass’ the infection or disease and make things work as expected again. Once I graduated, I found the technology world works in a very similar way: there is a process, with multiple ways to achieve the solution, things can interrupt it, and how do we fix it? One thing led to another, and I found myself in low-code development, building and fixing solutions to make the system work in a way we want it to work.
What is it like working at Bridgeall?
I like the culture and the atmosphere at Bridgeall, I’m trusted to get my work done and to take the lead with the clients directly. I really like that.
How have you found moving to working from home?
I like the hybrid balance; I don’t like staying in the same place too long. The half week in the office and half from home works really well for me to stay focused.
Favourite project you’ve worked on?
Probably a project I am working on currently. We’re re-designing an old automation process for approval requests to be sent, and responses with any reminders and errors logged by the flow directly to a SharePoint list. The new process will have a streamlined design while removing long-term, consistent errors and nuances.
What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working?
Lots of things really. I like making little projects and goals to keep trying new things. Right now, I’m attempting strength training fitness plans at the gym – we’ll see how that goes…
Something on your bucket list?
Travel to more ‘hidden gems’ off the tourist routes, just need to work out where they are first.
